The decomposed body of an unidentified male was found near the Hansa Beach at Bogmalo.
The incident was reported by Rohit Kumar, LPM, INS Hansa and Vasco police conducted an enquiry at INHS Hansa, Dabolim.
The decomposed body has been sent to the South Goa District Hospital, Margao for identification and further medico-legal procedures.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS and PSI Prisley Carvalho is carrying out further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
