Male body found at Palolem beach

CANACONA:

A man in his forties was found dead at Palolem beach on Thursday morning.

A tourist police constable informed that an unidentified male was found lying by the seashore on the southern side of Palolem beach.

A Canacona police team went to the site and shifted the person to the Canacona Community Health Centre, where a doctor declared him dead on arrival.

Police made enquiries with locals and tourists present on Palolem Beach, but no one present on the beach could identify the deceased.

Canacona police said the deceased was fair in complexion, medium built and wore dark green coloured long-sleeved shirt and long formal black-coloured pant. The left leg had a surgery bandage between the knee and foot.

Police later sent the body for an autopsy to the South Goa District Hospital in Margao.

Canacona police have registered an unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS 2023 and PSI Ramdas Doifode is conducting further investigations.
