A man from Sada-Vasco was duped of Rs 11,000 after he divulged details of his ATM card to a fraudster impersonating as a bank employee. According to reports, Bhadrasen Rawool, received a call at around 2.30 pm on Saturday from an unknown person, who claimed he was calling from the bank's head office.
On the pretext of upgrading his account, the person asked Rawool for details of his ATM card. Immediately on divulging details, Rawool received a message on his cellphone that Rs 11,000 had been withdrawn from his account.
Rawool rushed to his bank at Sada, only to be informed that Rs 11,000 had been withdrawn from his account for some mobile recharge.
