Mandrem MLA demands restrictions on GoaMiles

Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar has raised concerns about the impact of the GoaMiles taxi service on local taxi operators. He stated that many local taxi drivers oppose GoaMiles and questioned how long the government will continue to support the app-based service.

Arolkar’s main demand is that GoaMiles should not be allowed to pick up passengers from taxi stands in the coastal areas, ensuring that local taxi operators can secure business.

He also called for the approval of a rate card to standardize fares.

Arolkar mentioned that he, along with Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo, has discussed these issues with the Chief Minister.
