Mayor invited, but not on guest list

Though invited for the opening ceremony of the car park, CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado is not an official guest. Interestingly, though GTDC has sent a formal invite to Furtado, the invite does not mention his name as a guest.

PANAJI: 
When asked to comment, Furtado said, “I have been invited but my name is not printed on the invite. I just wanted my money. It has come in and I am happy. It doesn’t bother me whether my name is there or not.”  
“They feel I am spoiling their happiness. Being the mayor I have to look at the interest of the Corporation first”, said Furtado.

Finally, multi-level car park at Patto to open on Monday

After much delay, the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is all set to inaugurate the multi-level car parking project at Patto, Panaji, on Monday, October 31.

PANAJI   Once the facility is inaugurated, initially the GTDC will deploy their personnel to maintain the multi-level car park, which will be thrown open for public use from the next day, November 1.  Speaking to The Goan, GTDC Chairman Nilesh Cabral said, “From November 1 we will start the operations. GTDC will deploy people for maintenance of the facility. We will charge Rs 10 for two-wheelers and Rs 20 for four-wheelers for four hours.”  When asked if…
