Mayor invited, but not on guest list

Though invited for the opening ceremony of the car park, CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado is not an official guest. Interestingly, though GTDC has sent a formal invite to Furtado, the invite does not mention his name as a guest.

When asked to comment, Furtado said, “I have been invited but my name is not printed on the invite. I just wanted my money. It has come in and I am happy. It doesn’t bother me whether my name is there or not.”

“They feel I am spoiling their happiness. Being the mayor I have to look at the interest of the Corporation first”, said Furtado.

PANAJI Once the facility is inaugurated, initially the GTDC will deploy their personnel to maintain the multi-level car park, which will be thrown open for public use from the next day, November 1.
