Mining crisis: Shah to chair meeting today

Chief Minister will be attending a high-level meeting to be chaired by BJP chief Amit Shah on the vexatious Goa mining imbroglio in Delhi at 4 pm on Friday.

Union Minister for Mines Pralhad Joshi and Goa’s Advocate General  Devidas Pangam will also attend the meeting, an official government  release said.  

The five-decade-old mining industry in the coastal state came to a  standstill in March 2018, after the Supreme Court quashed the second  renewal of 88 iron ore mining leases.
