Goa Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sanjay Goel on Thursday said that several of the 97 voters whose names could not be restored before the publication of the final electoral roll have since been included through house-to-house visits.
In a statement, he said that the 97 cases not included in the final roll published in February 2026 were separately processed through house-to-house visits by BLOs for completion of Form 6.
"Many have since been enrolled, while the remaining cases are being processed," CEO added.
"It is reiterated that no eligible elector will be left behind," CEO added further.
Earlier, Goel said that names of those still missing will have to submit Form 6 for inclusion in the electoral roll.
Goel said Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) had initially found some voters ineligible after they failed to attend hearings or produce the required documents.
After polling station-wise lists were displayed, some affected voters subsequently submitted their documents, bringing 97 such cases to the CEO’s attention.
Officials then sought a software “rollback” to restore the names in the electoral roll. However, the rollback could not be carried out before publication of the final roll.
Goel said that changes to the electoral software and the introduction of new modules around the same time may have contributed to the inability to restore the names through the rollback process.
