CANACONA
Admitting that the Covid pandemic and a financial crunch had slowed down several development works in Canacona constituency, Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes, however, assured to push for development in his constituency.
Fernandes was speaking at the launch to construct a retaining wall and a protection wall at Mahalwada in Poinguinim on Tuesday.
“We are alive only because of farming activity. The BJP party and the government have decided to give allot funds for agriculture and farming activities,” said Fernandes, after launching the works at Shitto Tali, which is aimed at helping agriculture produce around the lake.
Others present were BJP District Vice President Mahesh Naik, Block President Nandeep Bhagat, Secretary Diwakar Pagi, PWD (Roads) AE Aranbanchi and WRD AE Azad Vernekar.
