Mandrem MLA Jeet Arolkar inspects the house which was partially damaged in Parsem-Pernem.
Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar has assured to rebuild a house which got partially damaged at Parsem-Pernem on Tuesday night.
According to locals, heavy rains in the area led to the partial damage of the house belonging to Mahadev Kalangutkar and Naresh Kalangutkar.
On receiving information that the house had partially collapsed, Arolkar visited the house and inspected the damage.
Later speaking to reporters, the Mandrem MLA assured to rebuild the house at his own expense and reconstruction began on Wednesday.
“We had visited their house last year on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. I want to assure them that they will celebrate Chaturthi in their house this year as well and so, I will get their house repaired before Chaturthi and at my own expense,” said Arolkar.
“I am also trying to get all possible help from the government and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant,” he added.
