Leader of the retired Margao Municipal workers, Camilo Barretto on Friday demanded the resignation of Margao Municipal Chairperson Babita Prabhudesai for her failure to resolve the issue of Provident fund of the retired daily wage workers.
Barretto, who was seating on a dharna along with the group of retired workers, said that TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai, should take note of the functioning of the MMC Chairperson and replace her with any of the women Councilors from Fatorda.
“The MMC chairperson has failed to address the issue of the retired daily wage workers, who have not yet received their provident fund dues despite retiring over the last two years,” Barreto said, while blaming the MMC Chairperson behind the state of functioning of the Margao
Civic body.
