The Cuncolim police have registered an offence against two persons, who are suspected to have allegedly outraged the modesty of a 55-year-old woman on December 15.
According to Cuncolim police, the suspect Jeetendra who is the driver of a bus and Menino the conductor stopped the bus on NH 17 to collect passengers, thereby causing obstruction to the complainant.
When the complainant questioned the driver and the conductor of the said bus over this issue, both the suspects, with common intention, abused the complainant with filthy language while the driver made obscene gestures with the intention to outrage the modesty of the complainant.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Cuncolim police registered an offence under Sections 504, 509 r/w 34 of IPC and Section 117 of MV Act. Further investigation is in progress.
