The dialogues would be carried out through 142 BBSM volunteers who have been trained by Pune-based education expert Anil Gore. Already, 65 dialogues in different areas have been scheduled.
BBSM has, however, submitted two memorandums to Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar reiterating its demands. One memorandum speaks about its demand to discontinue grants to the minority-run English primary schools, phase-wise beginning from academic year 2017-18 onwards, while the second has listed nine other demands for promotion of Marathi/Konkani primary and pre-primary schools.
They have demanded implementation of the various schemes envisaged and assured by the government during Parrikar’s term as the Chief Minister in 2012.
