The Officer of the Mormugao Block Development Office (BDO) strongly objected to the issuance of EHN House numbers by the Sancoale Panchayat secretary without proper approvals and site inspection. A memorandum issued on 28th May by BDO officer Emanuel Da Costa highlighted three previous memorandums sent to the panchayat secretary.
The memorandum addressed the issuance of EHN House numbers above 2000 by the Sancoale Village Panchayat secretary without proper resolution or approval, as well as without site inspection.
Despite previous directives from the Director of Panchayat in Panaji and the BDO, the panchayat secretary failed to submit a report on the matter.
In light of this, the concerned village panchayat secretary is once again directed to submit a report within three days from the date of this memorandum, as per the recent directive from the Director of Panchayat in Panaji.
