Stepping up its crackdown on drugs, Anjuna Police on Tuesday night seized narcotics worth Rs 1.71 lakh from a two-wheeler at Starco junction in Anjuna.
No arrests have been made in this connection, as the person sitting on the two-wheeler fled from the site.
According to Anjuna Police, while on night patrol, the police saw a person sitting on a two-wheeler near Starco
junction. After noticing the police, the person fled from the site.
Police on checking the two-wheeler (GA-03-AC-1209) found 0.4 grammes of LSD papers worth Rs 60,000, 6.70 grammes of ecstasy tablets worth Rs 66,000, 8.20 grammes MDMA worth Rs 40,000, 8.10 grammes of Charas worth Rs 8,000 and 10.20 grammes of ganja worth Rs 5,000, all worth Rs 1.71 lakh.
Police also seized the two-wheeler and registered an offence against an unidentified person under Sections of 20(b)(ii) and 21(c)(b) under the NDPS Act.
