Narayan S Navti, a Selection Grade Officer of Goa Government on Wednesday joined as the Director of the Department of Information and Publicity.
Navti joined the Government Services in 1987 as a Mamlatdar and since then has worked in many positions like Directorate of Panchayat, Revenue Department, Collectorate, Managing Director of OBC Commission and Directorate of Rural Development and Administration. In November 2007, Navti was appointed as the Joint Chief Electoral Officer in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Goa and was promoted as Additional Chief Electoral Officer in January 2017.
Before joining the public sector Navti worked with a local newspaper as an accounts clerk. He has also presented programs at the All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan.
