The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress on Friday vowed to continue its agitation over the alleged NEET paper leak until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns or is removed from office.

Led by Goa Pradesh Youth Congress president Archit Naik, party workers staged a protest at the Old Market in Margao. Senior Congress leaders, including Goa desk in-charge Manikrao Thakre, GPCC president Amit Patkar and South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes, joined the demonstration.

The protesters took out a march through the town before burning an effigy of Pradhan outside the BJP South Goa district office.

Addressing the gathering, Indian Youth Congress national president Uday Bhanu Chib said the protests would continue until accountability is fixed for the alleged examination leak. He claimed that students across the country were demanding justice and raised concerns over the conduct of competitive examinations and the lack of employment opportunities for educated youth.

Chib also urged young people to support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and join the party’s campaign on issues affecting students and job seekers.
