Says govt committed to timely completion of development projects in villages across Goa

The Chief Minister inaugurated various development works in Falwada Ward No. 3 of Kudne village.

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the State government is committed to the overall development of every village, with equal focus on infrastructure and human development. He said the government is allocating substantial funds to provide quality facilities across Goa, including the Sanquelim constituency. He added that the government is taking all necessary steps to ensure that public welfare works are completed on time and that no development project remains pending.
Sawant said village temples play an important role in preserving culture and traditions while strengthening unity and brotherhood among villagers. He also said religious festivals help maintain peace and harmony in villages.
He praised the members of the Kudne Panchayat for actively working for the welfare of the people and speeding up development works based on public needs. The Chief Minister inaugurated various development works in Falwada Ward No. 3 of Kudne village.
As part of the projects, work on constructing ponds in the Mauli Temple premises under the Water Resources Department was inaugurated. Beautification work at the Ganpati immersion site was also launched, while bhoomi pujan was performed for the construction of a shed in the Mauli Temple premises.
The programme was attended by District Panchayat member Mahesh Sawant, Kudne Sarpanch Damodar Petkar, Deputy Sarpanch Deepika Naik, Panchayat member Rajan Phalkar, engineer Abhishek, Tejeshwini Gaonkar, Vinod Bhandari, Secretary Sujata Morajkar, Swayampurna Mitra, Deepak Gaonkar, members of the Mauli Devasthan Committee, residents of Falwada and Kudne villages, along with Dinesh Kamat and Tanajirao Desai, among others.
On the occasion, Mahesh Sawant, Damodar Petkar and Rajan Phalkar congratulated Sawant for initiating the development works.
Religious purification rituals (Archa-Shuddhi) and various cultural and religious programmes were organised in Falwada Ward No. 3 to mark the 11th anniversary celebrations of Goddess Mauli. The Chief Minister also inaugurated several development projects during the event.
Sawant later offered prayers at the temple for the overall development of the village and the prosperity and well-being of the State.
