The State government has informed the High Court of Bombay at Goa that work orders for installing air conditioners in courts across North Goa were issued on March 10 and the installations are expected to be completed within 45 days.

Taking note of the submission, the High Court directed authorities to ensure timely completion of the work.

The court also sought updates on pending infrastructure projects in South Goa while flagging delays in improving facilities at the new District Court complex, particularly with regard to parking.

In response, the State submitted that steps are underway to acquire adjacent land for parking, and further details would be placed on record.

The High Court also sought a status report on the District and Sessions Court Annex building, which was originally scheduled for completion in December 2025.

Officials are directed to file a bar chart indicating completed and pending works, along with timelines for making the building operational. The matter has been posted for further hearing on April 21.
