BICHOLIM:
A 47-year-old man from Honda-Sattari died while two others sustained minor injuries when two scooters collided with each other at Harvale on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, a Honda Dio scooter and a Honda Activa scooter collided with each other at Supachipud-Harvale. The Honda Dio rider, Sandeep Gawade, was seriously injured in the mishap, while Rama Jhore and Laxman Jhore, both from Valpoi, who were on the Honda Activa scooter, sustained minor injuries in the mishap.
The three persons were taken to a health centre, where doctors declared Sandeep dead on arrival. Rama Jhore and Laxman Jhore have been admitted at hospital for treatment.
Bicholim police conducted an inquest into the accident under the guidance of Bicholim Police Inspector Dinesh Gadekar and the body was sent to GMC Hospital in Bambolim for an autopsy.
