The Old Goa police arrested six persons from Chhattisgarh and Karnataka for allegedly running an online gambling operation from a villa at Kadamba Plateau.
The police said the raid was conducted around 6:30 pm on Tuesday wherein the accused were allegedly operating an online betting racket through the site Win0042 using mobile phones and laptops with forged credentials.
The accused have been identified as Aman Panjawani (20), Sundarlal Patel (27), Rohan Karsh (22), Naveen Jituri (30), Jay Yadav (20) and Akash Rathod (25).
Four laptops, 13 mobile phones, a router and a notebook, all valued at around Rs 2.3 lakh, were seized from the premises.
