Over 80 test positive in Bardez

There has been no respite in the rise of Covid-19 cases in Bardez with over 80 persons testing positive on Saturday.

The largest chunk of cases came from Candolim primary health centre with 27 cases followed by Siolim PHC with 18 cases.

According to the Health Officer at Candolim PHC, Dr Roshan Nazareth nine persons tested in Pilerne, five each in Calangute and Nerul, three each in Candolim and Reis Magos and one each in Saligao and Arpora.

In the jurisdiction of Siolim PHC, six persons in the coastal village of Anjuna tested positive, four in Siolim-Sodiem, three in Assagao, two in Siolim-Marna and one each in Canca and Parra.

Heath Officer at Mapusa Urban Health Centre, Dr Cheryl de Souza informed that 17 positive cases were recorded at the Mapusa centre. Four persons each tested positive in Carrasvaddo and Ganeshpuri, two each in Ansabhat, Shetya-vaddo and Duler and one each in Cunchelim, Ganganagar and Housing Board.

Colvale primary health centre reported 12 positive cases. The Colvale Health Officer, Dr Damodar Narvenkar informed that six persons tested positive in Tivim, five in Colvale and one in Pirna.

According to Health officer at the Aldona PHC, Dr Preetam Naik a total of 11 persons were infected with the virus. Three persons each tested positive in Bastora and Aldona, two each in Nachinola and Moira and one in Ecoxim.
