PANAJI: The Corporation of City of Panaji implemented the pay parking from Saturday on major 5 roads in the city.
The Zuvarkar associates which have been allotted the tender will collect the parking fee for the next three years.
“The much awaited pay parking has been started. The parking fees will be taken on notified roads. Also monthly passess on discount will be provided to owners,” said CCP mayor Udai Madkaikar.
The mayor also informed that one vehicle of every house in Panaji area that does not have parking facility will be exempted from the parking fees. He further said that this facility will be only for those residents of old buildings that do not have any internal parking facility.
Mayor also informed that pay parking will also be implemented in other parts of the city in the second phase.
