Even as the scare of Bird Flu is fresh in the minds of people, the sudden demise of two cows in one ward of Sada created panic on Saturday.
According to residents, two cows who had been moving around in the last few days were found dead. Another cow that was severely ill and struggling was later sent to the Dhyan Foundation by the residents.
"Two cows were found dead in Sada, both in the same ward near the MMTC colony, and this created panic. While it was unclear how and why the cows died, some assumed that it could be due to food poisoning. Even as some people were scared of the death of the cows, news came in that another cow was severely struggling with pain at Pandav Wada in Sada."
"The people then decided to shift the cow to Dhyan Foundation but there was no vehicle to shift the cow. Later, Dhyan Foundation arrived with their vehicle and took the cow away, but the cow did not seem like it could survive. There are strong chances that the cows may have suffered food poisoning but the death of almost three cows in a day is a cause of concern and the authorities must investigate in the incident," said a resident.
