Photographs of the stray cattle taking shelter at the KTC bus shed near the ticket counter went viral on Wednesday evening, raising questions over the menace in the commercial capital.
As the photographs of the cattle taking shelter inside the bus stand at the ticketing booth went viral, questions were raised on social media about whether the authorities, including the Margao Municipal Council, have anything to say on the issue.
Questions were posed to the Margao municipal councillors and the civic babus whether the local body has any system including a shelter in place to impound the stray cattle.
It was pointed out that the presence of the stray cattle at the Margao KTC bus stand is just the tip of the menace of stray cattle faced by motorists on the roads in the city jurisdiction and outside.
A suggestion was made to the newly elected BJP-backed Margao Municipal Council to put a system in place to take care of the strays, including stray cattle and dogs.
