Margao police to book owner and driver
The pickup transporting cattle was intercepted by Bajrang Dal activists at Rawandon-Margao on Thursday evening.

Members of the Bajrang Dal on Thursday evening intercepted a pickup van transporting cattle at Rawanfond while the vehicle was heading to Benaulim.
The van along with the cattle was later handed over to the Margao police for the purpose of further investigation.
Margao Police station in-charge, PI Arun Desai informed that the police is registering a FIR against the owner and driver of the pick-up van.
Bajrang Dal leader Bhagwan Redkar told the media that members of the organization were maintaining vigil after receiving information that pick up van would be transporting two she buffaloes in the van.
“After inspection of the vehicle, we have found that the driver had no permission to transport the cattle. Our information suggest that the vehicle was heading to Benaulim to deliver the cattle for slaughtering”, he said.
The Margao police is investigating.
