CANACONA
A man from Uttarakhand working in Palolem was arrested by Canacona police on Tuesday for allegedly possessing MDMA and LSD worth Rs 84,500.
Police said Subu Panwar was held during a narcotics raid at Kindlebhag–Tarir, Canacona, conducted between 12.16 pm and 1.58 pm after receiving specific information. Panwar, who stays at Ourem in Canacona, was allegedly caught with 6.35 grams of MDMA and seven LSD blots weighing 0.15 grams.
According to police, the accused had come to deliver the drugs to prospective customers. He has been booked under Sections 22(b) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Rajshekhar Reddy of Canacona Police Station.
