Police constable's body yet to be traced

Authorities are yet to trace the body of the 41-year-old police constable attached to the Crime Branch, who was feared drowned after he allegedly jumped off the Amona Bridge on Thursday.

According to sources from Sakhali Police Outpost, the marine police was called on Friday morning, but the body was not traced till late in the evening. Police are conducting further investigations under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.

It may be recalled that Suresh Fadte, hailing from Akhada in St Estevam, was feared drowned after he was believed to have jumped off the Amona bridge at about 3.30 pm on Thursday.
