While the autopsy report was inconclusive as doctors could not ascertain the woman’s exact cause of death, it has only revealed that deceased was between 20-25 years and about 144 cm in height.
Anjuna Police found some ornaments on the body and believe that robbery did not appear to be the motive of the crime.
Anjuna PI Sanjay Dalvi informed that no complaint of a missing woman was filed in any police station across the state, thereby
giving rise to speculation that the deceased woman could be an outsider.
Accordingly, police has also sent messages to police stations in nearby states, seeking details of any missing women reported in their police stations.
“Police has also started checking call records in the area to move forward with the investigation. Between Friday night and the wee hours of Thursday, mobile phone signals of 3,000 were transmitted in the area.
Police has acquired all data from the mobile companies and calls are being verified,” said Anjuna Police Inspector Dalvi.
