A day after the Sunday incident, Parish Priest of Rachol Church, Fr Eremito Rebello has asked the Maina-Curtorim police to investigate in detail whether the two students of the premiere Zuari Nagar-based educational institute had visited churches at Sancoale and Borim before visiting Rachol on Sunday.

Fr Rebello said he has asked Maina-Curtorim PSI Alvito Rodrigues to ascertain whether the two students had visited Sancoale Church the previous day and at Borim Church before descending at Rachol. “I have been given to understand that the duo were spotted at these two Churches before they came to Rachol. I have asked the police to verify the information and to ascertain what was the reason behind making their presence felt at these Churches if found true,” Fr Rebello said.
The two students were caught by the Parishioners of Rachol on Sunday when one of them spitted out the Holy Communion and tried to cover the same with mud with his feet. The incident had resulted in an uproar after the Sunday mass before the students and the Chief Warden of the Institute tendered written apologies to the Parish Priest and the parishioners. The Parish Priest and the parishioners later decided to forgive
the two students by not proceeding against with any criminal action.
