Ponda prefers casting votes last-minute?

Do voters of Ponda taluka prefer to turn up at the last moment to exercise their franchise, in comparison to voters in other talukas of the State?

This appeared to be the case, as taluka-wise figures for the voter turnout were released by the State Election Commission (SEC) every two hours in all 12 talukas of the state.  
In 10 of the 12 talukas, voter turnout have a similar trend, with talukas recording a 4-5% increase in voter turnout between the periods from 2-4 pm and from 4 pm till end of poll.  
But what was unusual is that Ponda taluka recorded a massive 10% jump in voter turnout between these two periods, indicating that a significant number of voters opted to exercise their franchise during the last one hour of the polling period, as opposed to other talukas.  
Similarly, Sanguem taluka showed an 8% increase in voter turnout between these two periods.  TGN

Female voter at Agonda literally gives ‘thumbs up’

In an unusual incident, a female voter at Agonda was issued a second ballot paper to cast her vote, after she inadvertently put her thumb impression on her first ballot paper.
