Poonam and Bombay had been residing at a hotel in Canacona and reportedly checked out shortly after the porn video went viral on social media.

The porn video had sparked off outrage among people, leading to six police complaints to demand action against those involved in the controversial video.

The couple then reportedly shifted base to a hotel in North Goa.

Late Wednesday night, Canacona police had added other sections of IPC to the FIR and began a lookout for the duo to serve summons for interrogation.

Sources said police received a clue about their whereabouts and on Thursday morning, a Canacona police team went to north Goa and with the assistance of the Calangute police, successful traced the duo at a hotel in Sinquerim.

Pandey and Bombay were then taken to the Canacona police station in the evening.

On reaching the Canacona police station, Ponam Pandey refused to come out of the police jeep on seeing the presence of media persons.

Responding to Canacona Police Inspector Therron D'Costa, Bombay and Pandey then alighted the police jeep and a police team escorted the couple to the police station.

Fearing arrest, the couple through a local advocate moved a bail application before the Canacona JMFC.

When contacted, Quepem DySP Nelson Albuquerque, who was at the Canacona police station, confirmed that the couple had moved for bail.

“The Canacona JMFC has sought a say from a police and we are preparing our papers to oppose the bail application. We want them in custody to carry out further investigation,” said DySP Albuquerque, while declining to provide further details into the case.
