Porvorim Police seize bikes with modified silencers

Porvorim

Porvorim Police have intensified their drive against vehicles fitted with modified silencers that cause loud noise, as well as those with improper number plates.

During the operation, four motorcycles were seized from the Reis Magos and Nerul panchayat areas.

Rahul Parab, Police Inspector at Porvorim Police Station, said the drive will continue and strict action will be taken against offenders.

He added that motorcycle owners must remove the modified silencers before appearing in court, where fines will be imposed, and the motorcycles released.

Since January 2025, Porvorim Police have seized 15 motorcycles with modified silencers that produce deafening noise, Parab said.
