OLD GOA
It has been three days since the Se-Old Goa panchayat issued a show-cause notice to those connected with the controversial structure and only one respondent has replied to the notice till date.
A reliable source in the panchayat informed that the respondent has stated that the property along with the structure has already been sold by them to Corvus Urban Infrastructure Ltd and hence, they have no link with it any more.
The respondent has further told the panchayat not to make any correspondence to them in the future, with regards to the structure.
The source further informed that two of the three respondents have already been served notice as the panchayat has received the counter receipt of the registered AD.
It may be recalled that The Goan had reported that the Se-Old Goa panchayat had issued a show-cause notice to Jose Maria de Gouveia de Pinto and two others, stating why construction and subsequent renewal licences should not be revoked.
In the notice, the panchayat had cited violation of CRZ and ASI permissions, apart from TCP’s technical clearance revocation order.
The panchayat had given a period of 7 days to the recipients to reply to the show-cause notice, failing which it will proceed to revoke the construction and renewal licences.
It may be recalled that the panchayat had earlier, on November 30, issued a stop-work order to the owners of the structure.
