The Crime Branch sleuths rescued two women and arrested two men during a raid at a fast food outlet allegedly used as a front for prostitution at Saligao late Thursday night.
Details shared by Superintendent of Police (CB) Rahul Gupta reveal that Sani Kumar alias Alok (24), a native of Uttar Pradesh, and Jitendra Gehlot alias Jeetu Ronny (26), from Rajasthan were allegedly caught red-handed while attempting to deliver the rescued women to customers.
"The accused duo procured the women for the purposes of prostitution. They have been arrested and vehicles as well as mobile phones used for the offense, were seized for probe," the SP said. The rescued women have been shifted to the Protective Home at Merces.
