MARGAO
Will the PWD, NH officials take a close look at the highway road passing through the commercial capital, especially near the stretch passing by Marliz and Kamat hotel?
The PWD officials may claim that the stretch is devoid of potholes, but complaints are galore from two-wheeler riders, about the unmotorable condition of the road at the two places and near the Mustafa showroom.
It has been pointed out that though the PWD had removed the potholes, the road has turned uneven and bumpy, a cause of accidents. That’s not all. Motorists have pointed out that the uneven surface at the stretch near Marliz is causing health issues for the two-wheeler riders, with the uneven and bumpy surface becoming a nightmare for the riders.
In fact, motorists pointed out that the PWD should at least level the road, if it has no funds to repair the same.
“While executing the job of removing the potholes, the road has become uneven, so much so the road has become a speed breaker,” remarked a motorist.
Meanwhile, travellers on the NH66 road at Navelim have complained that the condition of the road, where the Western bypass meets the National Highway, has not at all improved till date.
