A petty quarrel over the distribution of crabs came to a violent end, when a 32-year-old man from Manshewado-Dhaktebhat, Dongri, allegedly murdered a resident of Dhaktebhat-Dongri at Mansher-Dongri.
The accused has been arrested in this connection.
According to Agassaim Police, Anesh Mayekar complained that the accused, Sanjay Haldankar, had assaulted his brother, Sudesh, with punches, pushed him on the ground and kicked him at Mansher-Dongri on December 13, at about 2.30 pm.

Police said the accused and the deceased had gone to hunt crabs and they began to quarrel, as the accused, Sanjay, claimed that the crabs fished out by Sudesh belonged to him.
Police added that on December 18, they received a message from the casualty ward at GMC informing that Sudesh, who was undergoing medical treatment, had died.
Police further said Sanjay was arrested on Thursday.
