The gram sabha of the Raia village panchayat on Sunday discussed a host of developmental issues, including prioritisation of works proposed by the Village Development Committee.
At the gram sabha chaired by Sarpanch Peter Quadros, the meeting discussed the proposal suggested by the VDC and to take up the work on priority.
The members at the gram sabha also raised the issue of rumbler sticks erected on the Arlem-Tembi highway passing through the Raia village panchayat, with some members saying the rumblers have been a cause of noise pollution with heavy vehicles speeding over the highway.
