
Devotees participate in Ram Navami celebrations in Sattari taluka.
Ram Navami was celebrated with great fervour at Shri Ram temples in Valpoi, Uste, Thane and Khadki in Sattari taluka. A large number of devotees gathered to seek blessings from early morning till late night.
The Ram Janma (birth of Lord Ram) ceremony was held around noon. On this occasion, women presented traditional devotional songs, adding a unique spiritual charm to the celebration. This was followed by bhajans in various temples, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere throughout the day.
According to information, Ram Janma celebrations were held at Shri Hanuman Temple in Valpoi, as well as Shri Ram temples at Khadki, Uste and Thane. All temples organised religious rituals from early morning. After the pooja, devotees turned up in large numbers for darshan, and in several places, heavy crowds were witnessed.
The temple committee stated that Ram Navami has been celebrated at Shri Hanuman Temple in Valpoi for many years with active participation and support from devotees. The temple has become a major centre of faith for devotees from Valpoi and across Sattari taluka, leading to large participation during such festivals.
On this occasion, a series of religious and traditional programs were organised for four consecutive days. The committee also informed that various performances are staged by artists during this period.
Similarly, Ram Navami was celebrated at Shri Ram Temple in Uste under the Nagargao Panchayat area, where devotees gathered in large numbers throughout the day. A late-night theatrical performance was also staged, which was well received by the devotees.
At Khadki, the Shri Ram Devasthan also hosted the festival with various religious and cultural programmes.
Likewise, at Desaiwada in Thane, Ram Navami was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Shri Ram Temple. Devotees thronged the temple from morning till late night, and the temple committee ensured proper arrangements to avoid any inconvenience.
