Girder to be installed at newly-built bridge
The Rawanfond road which will be closed for traffic from Monday to pave way for girder installation at the new bridge.

Traffic on the busy Rawanfond bridge will be restricted or suspended from Monday to Friday to facilitate launching of girder at the newly-built four-lane bridge.
Resultantly, the Margao Traffic cell has advised motorists to take the Margao railway station road from Rawanfond to enter the city via the flyover or Khareband. Traffic from Aquem heading towards Rawanfond have been advised to either take the Davorlim road or take the Margao railway station road to reach their destinations.
Officials of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) on Saturday informed that the work of girder installation at the new Rawanfond bridge will commence from Monday.
GSIDC Assistant Manager Mahesh Joshelkar told the media in the presence of senior GSIDC officails Dilip Joshi that the South Goa district Collector has accorded approval for the closure of the road from Rawanfond circle to the Aquem Power house junction and from the Aquem power house junction to the station road.
He informed the public that the road closure will start from Monday April 20 from 7.30 am up to 3.30 pm.
The road will be again blocked on Tuesday at 8 am up to 5 am the next day on Wednesday. The road will be shut on Thursday at 6.30 am till 2 pm. On Friday, the road will be shut at 7.30 am up to 3 pm.
Margao Traffic Cell in-charge, PI Sanjeev Dalvi told the media that public should take note of the traffic advisory to avoid inconveniences, especially to school students and office goers.
PI Dalvi urged motorists and members of the public to cooperate with the authorities for smooth movement of traffic.
