The water supply department of PWD has announced restricted water supply in the entire Bardez and parts of Bicholim taluka, on account of installation of new electromagnetic flow meters.
“Due to installation, testing and commissioning of the new electromagnetic flow meters at 1,000 mm water supply line in Porvorim, 700 mm water supply line in Mapusa and 400 mm water supply line in Tivim there will be restricted water supply to entire Bardez and parts of Bicholim taluka on October 12, 18 and 28,” a press release from PWD said.
A PWD official informed that electromagnetic flow meters detect flow of water. He said all the mentioned lines had these flow meters but they were now being replaced with new ones. “Water supply will not be totally stopped although supply will be controlled on the three days,” a PWD official informed.
