CANACONA
RG supremo Manoj Parab on Sunday alleged Canacona had many unsolved issues pending for years.
Parab undertook a padyatra from Shristhal to Polem which was attended by over 3000 people.
He also spoke against caste-based politics and said people were being taken for a ride.
It may be recalled that the RG team had undertaken the padyatra on 27, 2020, from Patradevi to protest against coal. After covering a distance of 120 kms, it was discontinued at Shristhal, following the enforcement of code of conduct for ZP elections.
Later the pandemic lockdown came in the way of completing the padyatra. On Sunday, it was finally completed.
RG’s Canacona candidate Prashant Pagi along with hundreds of supporters also took part in the padyatra when it resumed from Shristhal. The padyatra participants took a break at Maxem market at around 7 pm and later continued to culminate it at Polem.
