A two-wheeler rider was injured in an accident along the Valpoi-Thane road at Koparde-Sattari on Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the incident took place while a bus was proceeding from Valpoi towards Thane. The driver swerved in an attempt to overtake a four-wheeler parked at a bend in Koparde, and struck an oncoming two-wheeler.
The rider was injured in the mishap and was shifted to the Valpoi Community Health Centre, from where he was referred to the GMC hospital for further treatment and was later discharged.
The road mishap led to the disruption of traffic along the route for over an hour.
