Road to Chapora fort shortly
PANAJI: Minister for Water Resource Dayanand Mandrekar laid the foundation stone for construction of an access road to the fort of Chapora in Anjuna. Foundation stone for improvement of nallahs in Anjuna and Siolim was also laid.
Mandrekar thanked the Anjuna Comunidade for providing land for the beatification of Chapora fort and also shed light on the tourist spots in Siolim constituency which the government plans to develop to attract tourist.
Director of Archives and Archaeology, Blossom Modeira, engineer of WRD Gajanan Maladkar, Chief Engineer Pramod Badami, assistant engineer Nazaras Vaz, junior engineer Shailesh Faldesai, vice president of North Goa Zilla Panchayat, Vasudev Korgaonkar, ex sarpanch and president of Anjuna Comunidade, Edwin Nunes, Panch of Anjuna Sheetal Dhabholkar, Sandip Chimulkar, Dinesh Patil and others were present at the function. Pratap Khorjuvekar compered and proposed the vote of thanks.
