the goan I networkrMAPUSA rrMapusa Police informed that on June 16, two unknown persons entered into the ATM of TJSB Bank located at Candranath Apartments opposite the Mapusa Police Station and took away cash of Rs 9,500 from the ATM. rThe incident occurred at around 7.30 pm. rIn a similar pattern, next day morning, on June 17, two persons entered the ATM of G P Parsik Sahakari Bank at around 6.45 am at Kavlekar Tower in Khorlim Sim, Mapusa, and took away cash of Rs 48,000 from the ATM. rBoth the bank managers lodged complaints of cash theft at the Mapusa police station. rIn both the cases, no force was used to get into the ATMs and also no damage has been done to the teller machines, police informed. r“In fact, in the first case (TJSB Bank) the persons entered the ATM, withdrew the cash and walked away with the security guard firmly sitting outside the ATM,” a police official informed. rPolice have got the CCTV images of all four persons who withdrew cash from the ATMs. r“It appears the persons have used cloned ATM cards to withdraw money from the teller machines,” a source in Mapusa police station said. rThe CCTV images of the persons have been circulated to all the police stations in the country. rMapusa Police is investigating the case.
Rs 58K stolen from ATMs in Mapusa
Cash of Rs 58,000 was stolen from ATMs of two different private banks located within a distance of 100 metres from each other in Mapusa.
