Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated that the issue over land ownership rights in Sattari will be discussed on priority in the forthcoming assembly session.
He was speaking to a delegation of the Sattari Bhumiputra Sangathan, who submitted a memorandum to him at his residence at Sankhali.
“The issue of land ownership rights in Sattari taluka has been pending since Goa’s liberation but the State government will seriously look into the matter,” said Sawant.
He said the State government is determined to resolve the issue of farmers and added that the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Swayampurna Goa’ mission will not be successful if land ownership rights are not resolved.
Sattari Bhumiputra Sangathan President Harishchandra Gawas said they were hopeful that the chief minister would resolve their land ownership rights in Sattari taluka.
