PANAJI: While congratulating the new Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Congress chief Girish Chodankar said that the CM had to launch an investigation into the last year of administration when Parrikar was CM and files were being cleared in Parrikar’s name.
Renewing the attack on the then Parrikar-led government, which continued to run under the ailing CM, Chodankar said that till now, no one knows who was running the government in the last one year. “The CM needs to investigate this, as Ministers themselves were saying that bureaucrats were signing files, and not the CM himself.”
“Whatever went wrong in the past year has to be put before the people. The CM cannot give post-facto approval to the major decisions that were taken during that time,” he warned, adding that the Opposition would not go easy on the Sawant-led government, and would continue to look for illegal things that were carried out.
