MARGAO
Striking a note of unity at the inauguration of the MRI and Echo cardiac facilities at the South Goa District Hospital on Friday, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane asserted that the BJP government, led by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, would return to power in the 2027 Assembly elections.
Taking a dig at the Congress over its Goy Rakhonn Yatra, Rane said that merely walking on the streets would not help protect Goa, arguing that the state needed a clear roadmap for development. Asserting that there were no differences between him and Sawant, the Health Minister said the BJP government was united and working towards the welfare of the State and its people. “We are all united. There are no differences between us. We are all working under the Chief Minister for the good of Goa and its people. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, we have been able to achieve so much development in the State,” Rane said.
Taking a swipe at the Congress-led yatra, Rane said street marches alone could not resolve the State’s problems and that a concrete vision for development was what mattered.
“What is required is a clear roadmap for the State’s development, which has been demonstrated by the BJP government under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant,” he said, expressing confidence that the BJP would return to power in the next Assembly elections.
Referring to reports that the Goy Rakhonn Yatra had entered his constituency, Rane said its participants would have witnessed the development undertaken there.
