Scooterist injured in Mapusa mishap

A youth from Dangi Colony in Mapusa was seriously injured when his scooter and a car collided in Khorlim-Mapusa on Wednesday evening.

The incident took place at about 4.45 pm when Ishan Arolkar (21) was riding a scooter from Mapusa towards Assagao, while the car, driven by Zeena Sayyad of Anjuna, was coming from the opposite direction.

Arolkar was seriously injured in the mishap and was admitted to the Mapusa District Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The Mapusa police are investigating the incident.
