Central Government has constituted the three-member State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) and also the seven-member State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC) to assist SEIAA.

the goan I networkrPANAJI r rWhile Vivekanand Sawkar has been appointed the Chairman of SEIAA, Dr Suhas Godse has been appointed the chairman of SEAC. rThe members of both committees shall hold office for a term of three years. rNonetheless, Adv Joseph Vaz has been appointed the member of SEIAA, while Environment Director would be the member secretary. rHowever, five members of the SEAC include Dominic Fernandes, Dr Nitin Sawant, Dr Purushottam Pednekar, Dr C U Rivonkar and Prof M K Janarthanam and environment engineer of the Goa State Pollution Control Board is the Secretary.
