Vishwajeet Krishnarao Rane, a senior BJP leader, who joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, promised change in Poriem constituency within six months of AAP coming to power.
Rane said, “Kejriwal is a man of words. Many leaders in Delhi tried to get Kejriwal out of Delhi politics but they failed. He was elected by the people of Delhi for the kind of developmental work he did in his five-year tenure as CM in the first term.”
“The MLA of Poriem constituency had been CM for 15 years. He was the longest-serving CM of Goa, but despite this, there is development work. With the election looming, however, both he and his son, a MLA from Valpoi, have promised jobs. Are jobs created three months before the election?” he said and added, “And that too they provide multi-tasking and security jobs.”
“To date, neither father nor son has succeeded in bringing MNCs to Sattari, but Kejriwal is known for his vision. If we bring four MNCs in Sattari and each company offers 4,000 jobs then 16 thousand will be employed. If MNCs pay them around 25k, then nobody will take on security or multitasking jobs,” he observed.
He said, “My motivation then for joining the BJP was Manohar Parrikar’s vision. Since the current government has lost that vision, I feel Kejriwal’s vision alone can transform Goa. Therefore, I have decided to join AAP,” he added.
Delhi CM Kejriwal said, “We have to work hard to make Goa of our dreams. I am a common man and I am no politician. I only know to work. I know how difficult it is for a common man to earn a livelihood and educate his children.”
He said 10 years ago there were only two parties in Delhi -- BJP and Congress. They were working for themselves only. Your MLA from Poreim is there for the last 50 years, what has he done? He was CM for 15 years. I would like to tell you how Delhi people threw out BJP and Congress, they showed faith in AAP, Kejriwal added.
